Office brand Mute has launched OmniRoom, a versatile workplace configuration system that serves as a modular alternative to traditional plasterboard walls. OmniRoom offers a selection of 100 architect-designed rooms, including workstations, lounges, conference rooms, and coffee points. Here is a detailed report on FUNRITURE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY (FDT).
The frames and walls of these rooms are constructed using painted, fully recyclable aluminium. Users also have the option to create custom rooms using 13 prefabricated construction modules, allowing for closed rooms, open spaces and dividers. The system can be customized with 30 wall-mounted add-ons such as desks, cabinets and shelves, providing flexibility for interior organization.
OmniRoom is easily assembled and disassembled using Mute’s patented click-in system, enabling swift adjustments as workplace needs evolve. Each room is equipped with ventilation, electricity and lighting, while enclosed spaces feature acoustic systems for noise reduction.
