Schwinn Hardware, a leading manufacturer of cabinet hardware, recently introduced a groundbreaking collection named Vegan by Design, exemplifying their commitment to sustainability through innovative recycling practices. This collection stands out as it utilizes scraps of furniture linoleum, harnessing the natural benefits of linoleum derived from linseed, also known as flaxseed. Linoleum boasts durability, natural antimicrobial properties, and non-allergenic characteristics. Moreover, it is biodegradable and does not emit harmful gases during decomposition, aligning perfectly with eco-friendly principles. The collection emphasizes on sustainability alongside thoughtful and meaningful design. Vegan by Design incorporates essential design principles, offering innovative, functional, and environmentally-friendly products. Responding to the growing demand for non-toxic, antimicrobial, and sustainably manufactured products, this collection caters to diverse architectural and interior design styles.

The Vegan by Design collection comprises four distinct cabinet handles, including the Schwinn 33828 strap pull, available in six vibrant colours and three finishes for a total of twelve options. Renowned designer Michael Graves has contributed two styles: the Schwinn 34026-0 and 34026-96, available in knob or handle versions and featuring burgundy and dark blue colour options. Additionally, the Schwinn 22447-32 presents a striking bi-colour design with various linoleum and base finish combinations. The composition of the furniture linoleum used in this collection is meticulously detailed, showcasing the environmentally-friendly elements incorporated into each product.
