Furniture brand Cesar recently presented a collection of kitchen and dining products that showcased grooved doors, gentle curves and luxurious material finishes. Among Cesar’s standout offerings is Tangram, a highly sought-after product designed by Garcia Cumini. Know more about it on FURNITURE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY (FDT).
Tangram consists of five curved modules that can be arranged in various formations to create unique kitchen islands and cupboards. Tangram’s doors can be customized upon request, featuring an intricate decorative detail called Groove. This pattern, created by a sequence of vertical incisions, cleverly conceals the joints between the modules.
The product offers a range of finishes, including silk-effect lacquers and oak wood, and provides two different handle options for the cupboards. Additionally, the modules come with internal suspended organizational storage systems. According to Cesar, the Tangram draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese game of geometric shapes, allowing for endless combinations and introducing a sinuous concept to kitchen design while avoiding linearity.
Another versatile collection by Cesar is the Maxima 2.2 tall units, designed by R&D Cesar. Similar to Tangram, these units offer flexibility and adaptability. Made of high gloss Acacia wood, the tall units feature recessed doors, a rear panel and a top surface made of Breccia Imperiale marble. According to Cesar, the Maxima 2.2 collection offers numerous combinations in modularity, accessories and materials, resulting in sophisticated aesthetics and the pleasure of designer furnishings of unparalleled quality.
Cesar also presented Mobilis, a series of living room wall modules designed by Cumini to complement dining spaces. These modules, available in finishes such as anodic metallic-effect lacquer and smooth timber, are engineered to support substantial weight and can be disengaged from their struts.
For dining areas, the brand introduced Platform, a table design inspired by the landing areas of modern skyscrapers. Platform features a timber tabletop with bevelled edges and tapered legs resting on metal feet. It is available as both a regular table and a breakfast bar option that can be fixed to a kitchen worktop. The product comes in silk-effect lacquers or plain wood finishes.
