
Blending legacy with contemporary design, Godrej Interio’s Vikhroli flagship embodies India’s evolving lifestyle through modularity and creativity, reports Furniture Design & Technology (FDT) Magazine.
Interio by Godrej, a premier furniture brand under the Godrej Enterprises Group, has inaugurated its iconic flagship store in Vikhroli, Mumbai. Covering an expansive 22,000 sq. ft., the store embodies Interio’s revitalized brand identity, providing customers with a comprehensive destination for contemporary Indian living—seamlessly merging tradition, artistry, and customizable design.
The flagship introduces an innovative collection of modular, customizable, and personalized furniture, along with new categories such as gaming, outdoor, and children’s furniture, complemented by a fresh range of soft furnishings.
Nyrika Holkar, Executive Director of Godrej Enterprises Group, shared: “Our vision for the flagship inVikhroli is a dialogue between design and craft. Enhancing the experiential journey, The Archive Gallery invites visitors to explore Godrej’s century-long design heritage, from tubular steel chairs to the legendary steel almirah that has been a staple in Indian households for generations. SwapneelNagarkar, Business Head and Executive Vice President of Interio by Godrej, added: “With our new flagship store, we’re strengthening our connection with consumers who see their homes as an expression of who they are. The collaborations with Indian furnishing brands and the introduction of our first in-store café reflect Interio’s modern, inclusive design philosophy and commitment to inspiring everyday living.”

Designed by Mazumdar Bravo Architects, the store’s spatial concept pays tribute to Indian craftsmanship while embracing a contemporary Indian aesthetic. Interio has also collaborated with several Indian furnishing brands, including Adigami Studio by Aditi Anuj, BR Pandit, Cane Concept, Heirloom Naga, Makaan by Tahir Sultan, Oorja, Sirohi, and Svabhu Kohli.
The launch event featured a fireside chat with designer David Abraham on the influence of the Bauhaus movement on Indian design, alongside an immersive digital experience by Aaron Myles, showcasing how thoughtfully designed spaces can define meaningful moments.
