Illuminating Motion: Rajat Vyas Introduces LUMISIS, A Breakthrough in Kinetic Light Art

FDT Bureau

Blending synchronized rotating rings, fluid movement, and flexible utility, this living art lamp transforms contemporary spaces into dynamic sensory experiences.

Designer Rajat Vyas has unveiled LUMISIS, an innovative kinetic light artwork engineered to redefine contemporary ambient design. Bridging the gap between fine art and functional illumination, the piece functions as a "living art lamp" crafted to elevate a diverse range of interior environments.

The Harmony of Light and Motion

At the core of LUMISIS is a sophisticated kinetic installation featuring synchronized rotating rings. Through a seamless blend of motion, reflection, and light, the installation generates ever-evolving visual patterns and captivating illusions. The smooth, fluid movement is designed to deliver a dramatic, immersive sensory experience, transforming any room from a static space into a dynamic environment.

Premium Craftsmanship and Specifications

LUMISIS is built with high-quality materials and precise engineering. Its physical construction features:

  • Body: A sleek stainless steel body paired with a sophisticated wooden finish backplate.
  • Lighting: Integrated components including an inside ring lamp and an outer lamp light.
  • Mechanics: Smooth operation driven by a dedicated electronics motor and driver system.
  • Dimensions: The artwork measures 36 inches in length, 12 inches in width, and 10 inches in height (L36" x W12" x H10").

Versatile Utility and Application

One of the most notable features of LUMISIS is its highly adaptable mounting and placement system, allowing it to seamlessly fit into various architectural configurations. It can be styled as a:

  • Wall-mounted unit (supporting both vertical and horizontal orientations)
  • Self-standing unit
  • Tabletop unit
  • Ceiling-hanging fixture

This versatility makes LUMISIS ideal for a wide array of settings. Its applications span across private residential spaces, such as bedrooms, as well as commercial and hospitality venues, including hotel suites, hotel lobbies, professional offices, and broader commercial spaces.
