Kuka Home Arrives in Kolkata with its Flagship Store in Topsia

With a vision of narrating a legacy decades in the making, Kuka Home has recently reignited the conversation around its international design excellence with a highly anticipated arrival in Kolkata. Launched by the enterprising duo, Sumit Poddar and Rishi Bajaj, the brand—synonymous with contemporary furniture design—opened its flagship store in Topsia, a neighborhood in the heart of the city, now emerging as a commercial hub of Kolkata. The brand is registered in France, with its headquarters in China.

Spanning an impressive 11,000 square feet, the store occupies two floors and is meticulously curated with a wide range of designer furniture. The plush flagship showcases dining, living, and bedroom concepts against the backdrop of opulent interior design. The transitional furniture collection features a selection of comfortable armchairs and sofas, elegant center tables, chic beds with headboards, and stylish dining tables and chairs. Every corner of the store—better described as a high-concept gallery—is vibrant, blending classic and modern, Indian and Western styles in a seamless and sophisticated way.

Each design within the Kuka store embodies a distinct style and global aesthetic appeal, resonating perfectly with the elevated aspirations of interior designers, architects, stylists, and modern homeowners. The furniture offers individuality and eclecticism to living spaces, all while maintaining a cohesive design language.

With over 120 designers worldwide, design innovation is at the core of Kuka Home. Inspired by fashion, technology, and textiles, the brand delivers original, award-winning designs that are ahead of the curve, setting trends and appealing to discerning, value-seeking customers.

According to franchise holder Rishi Bajaj, “Our store is an extension of the brand’s signature style. Kuka Home stores have always embodied this look—a raw floor, raw ceiling, and a theme that is eclectic, formal, fusion, and stylish.” A perfect blend of old-world charm and contemporary finesse, Kuka Home is where less is not more, and more is never a bore.
