ECONSCIOUS (formerly ECO DECO) is revolutionizing post-consumer plastic waste management through a circular, sustainable collection and recycling model, offering source-segregated waste pickup. Born during the pandemic from concerns over rising PPE and disposable waste, the venture has diverted over 40,000 kg of plastic through value-based recycling technology. Its vision is a zero-landfill society, achieved through waste management services and recycled plastic products.
Econscious follows a founder-led, material-first approach to design. Co-founders Vaibhav and Sonal, both engineers, work closely with their team to explore how discarded plastic can be transformed into functional, durable and thoughtfully designed products. Their design philosophy is simple — see possibilities in waste and create products that are purposeful, practical and circular.
