Milan International Furniture fair, world's largest and most important furniture event, has been postponed due to outbreak of coronavirus in Italy. This largest international furniture and design trade event was due to take place from 21 to 26 April and now to take place from 16 to 21 June 2020 with revised secluded.

As per Media reports, Italy is experiencing the largest outbreak of the coronavirus outside of Asia. More than 280 cases have been reported across the country, with over 200 cases in Lombardy region of Milan, Capital city of Italy. Seven deaths from coronavirus has been reported in country. In response, presently the government of Italy has declared a state of emergency.

Organisers of Milan International Furniture fair has announced to postponed the upcoming edition of Salone del Mobile, world’s largest furniture event that was secluded for April, following an emergency meeting of the Board of Federlegno Arredo Eventi and in view of the ongoing public health emergency in Italy. Decision has been taken to postpone the upcoming edition of event till
mid of June.
