Leading kitchen brand Gaggenau has made its comeback to Villa Necchi during the ongoing Milan Design Week with an immersive installation titled The Elevation of Gravity. Created in collaboration with Munich-based architecture studio 1zu33, a longstanding partner of Gaggenau, the week-long exhibition will showcase the brand’s current product lines while offering a sneak peek at upcoming designs. Know more about it on FURNITURE DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY (FDT).
Installed in the glass conservatory of the 1930s villa, The Elevation of Gravity is a minimalist-designed installation that marks the brand’s second utilization of the space following its event in 2022. Serving as a launchpad for its new brand philosophy, reports suggest that this year’s exhibition aims to usher in a transformative era in luxury home appliances. Visitors will reportedly have the opportunity to not only experience the products firsthand but also participate in a series of events, including discussions, interactive sessions and workshops with leaders from the global architecture and design community. According to the brand, The Elevation of Gravity is an architectural marvel celebrating the allure of convention-defying craftsmanship, inviting attendees to witness the grandeur of their vision firsthand. The installation will be reportedly showcased at Villa Necchi Campiglio from April 16th to 21st, 2024, as part of Milan Design Week.
