Always keeping their ears open to the feedback from their customers, Prestige Interio Concepts understood that Indian furniture use demanded a Scratch Proof super high gloss surface. Therefore, since 2012, when they launched the FIRST OpuLux™ super high gloss panels made in India using Flat Lamination technology and hotmelt PUR adhesive, they started working on the next generation of high gloss panels - OpuLux™ Scratch Proof.
OpuLux™ - Scratch Proof panels are made using an advanced engineered thermoplastic laminate - senosan 1800 TopX, sourced from Austria. A revolutionary technology in materials science is used to make senosan 1800 TopX Scratch Proof high gloss surfaces. The top of the laminate surface is coated with a proprietary lacquer developed by Senoplast. This lacquer gives the surface a hardness of 1.1N, equivalent to 6H pencil hardness, making it virtually Scratch Proof. With a gloss level of 94% GLE, at 60 degree, OpuLux™ - Scratch Proof panels are like mirrors! They also have tremendous chemical resistance, wet and dry heat resistance also. There is no perceptible color difference on the surface, even after being exposed to UV light for extended periods of time.
OpuLux™ Scratch Proof panels are available on a choice of core materials like plywood, MDF, particle board, and composite materials like Wood Plastic Composite, PVC Foam Board, etc. The Scratch Proof senosan 1800TopX polymer laminates are bonded on the core material using the best quality German hot melt PUR adhesive. PUR adhesive provides a heat and water proof bonding. A good quality high pressure laminate (HPL) is used as a balancer. Even the HPL is bonded using a hotmelt PUR.
OpuLux Scratch Proof panels are available in a wide range of 14 solid and metallic colors. Color consistency between batches is a unique feature of OpuLux™ - Scratch Proof panels. Because of this unique feature, which is not possible in other type of surfaces, a complete peace of mind is available to architects and designers.
Although the standard size is 2440 mm x 1220 x 18 mm in all the core materials, customization in terms of thickness and sizes is also possible for specific core materials.
