To celebrate eight years of innovation, Snapmaker announced a Premium version of its flagship Artisan all-in-one device, which debuted in 2022. This versatile desktop tool, capable of laser cutting, 3D printing and CNC machining, boasts a modular design that allows users to switch between functions effortlessly. The Artisan Premium features a substantial 400mm X 400mm X 400mm work area, enabling the creation of large projects or efficient prototyping right on your desk. The standout upgrade is the new 40W laser module, four times more powerful than the original, allowing for faster cutting through thicker materials such as wood, metal, plastic, and even glass. The Artisan Premium retains its all-metal construction for factory-grade precision and includes an enclosure to contain dust and protect users from laser exposure.
Operating the device is streamlined with a 7″ touchscreen control unit. The modular interface supports Snapmaker’s various modules, enhancing its multifunctionality. The 3D printing module now includes a dual-extruder design for multi-colour printing and diverse material support, while the 200W CNC module is adept at subtractive prototyping in wood and soft metals. An air pump feature in the Premium version helps maintain a clean work area during operation.
